winter wonderland | Willow Ridge Manor Wedding, Morrison, CO

It was a winter wonderland the day Emily and Kyle married. Thankfully, the storm had passed a couple days before, leaving behind it a beautiful white snow scape for their winter wedding. Not only was Willow Ridge Manor the perfect place to to get married, it provided a beautiful back drop to their whole day. Beauty in their nervous anticipation as they got ready. Beauty in their very first look before their ceremony. Beauty all the way to the end when they exited their wedding in Rolls Royce style. In case you haven’t yet gotten the picture I’m painting, Emily and Kyle had a beautiful winter wonderland wedding. Congratulations, you two!

the perfect blend

One of the favors at Justine and Ryan’s wedding was tea bags with the slogan: the perfect blend. I would have to agree wholeheartedly with that! Justine and Ryan compliment each other perfectly. His yin to her yang. They have a confident, deep rooted love that showed all day. Their families and friends from near and far were just as committed to their love. They not only showed up for the wedding but participated in the events all day. From helping them prepare for the wedding to having a very fun filled reception at the Sundance Mountain Lodge.

Lydia Myers’ photos are tagged below. She is a great second shooter!

Another great mention is Angel Andres, Justine and Ryan’s videographer.

Justine made these cute hangers for her bridesmaids! (Lydia’s photo)

fall in love

You can see the love Sandra and Brett share. It was in every part of their fall wedding day – in every preparation, every detail, every touch, every look. It’s corny, but I can’t help but think what a great time of year to “fall” in love – or in Sandra and Brett’s case, commit to spend the rest of their lives together. It was such a romantic wedding on a beautiful October fall day. It will be a day they cherish for a lifetime.

Their wedding was held at the beautiful and unique Sunbird Restaurant.

picture perfect wedding

It was a picture perfect wedding for Ashley and Ryan. It threatened rain, but only sprinkled for a few minutes that day – good luck, we’re told. It was a beautiful day – perfect for getting married. They were surrounded by family and friends who had traveled from all around the nation to witness their union. It was picture perfect!

love & sunflowers

I grew up knowing both Rachel and Casey. And I’m sure that like all of their family and friends who were there to witness their wedding, I am so happy for them. Anyone can see how truly happy they are to be together. There were tears, laughter, hugs and smiles throughout their day. There were cowboy boots, tractors and sunflowers. And at the end of the evening, they ran for their truck as everyone cheered. They ran toward their future together. Congratulations, Rachel and Casey! Here’s to years of happiness in your marriage ahead, starting with your wedding day.

I was thankful to have Lydia Myers help me with this wedding as well. Her photos are tagged below.

love was in the air

When Rachel and Tony wed at the Cliff House on a warm July summer day, you could tell love was in the air. Even at their engagement session, I could tell their bond was special. With a look into each others eyes, it was like they can see their whole future. And it is beautiful. Just as their wedding day was filled with romance, love, family and friends, so to will be their marriage. You can see it in every photo, in every look they shared together.

Congratulations, Rachel and Tony!

Rachel on her way to see her groom for the first time.

The shoe game – they were asked to raise each other’s shoes to answer questions about each other. Hilarious!

summer wedding bells

Surrounded by family and friends, Sarah and Matt were wed at beautiful Hillside Gardens here in Colorado Springs. As the day continued, it was easy to see and feel the love they had for their guests and in return, the love and respect their guests had for them. It was a beautiful warm day at a gorgeous location. Love was in the air. It was the perfect summer wedding. Congratulations, Sarah and Matt!

I was privileged to have Lydia second shoot their wedding with me. Some of her photos are below. I just love Matt’s face as he waits to see his bride.

whimsical love, Brianna & Mati | Casper Wedding Photographer

When Mati’s mother gave her toast to the bride and groom, she said the word that comes to mind when she thinks of Brianna and Mati together is whimsical. Whimsical: apricious humor or disposition; extravagant, fanciful, or excessively playful. I couldn’t have described them better myself. Their wedding day was full of laughter, friends and fun. Their relationship is playful, sweet and full of love. Although they live in another state, Brianna and Mati held their wedding in Casper, Wyoming, Brianna’s home town. Friends and family came from far and near. They couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect day (minus the 10 minute rain cloud!). Congratulations, Brianna and Mati! Happy trails.

Brianna and Mati decided to have their wedding photos prior to the ceremony. It’s called a first look, just a private moment between the bride and groom.
Reception at Three Crowns Golf Club.I loved this! Instead of a traditional cake, they had all their favorite cakes and pies.

July 9, 2011 - 4:41 pm Tess Brist - Absolutely wonderful! Brianna, you look stunning! Kristi, you've outdone yourself as always.

eyes only for you

As I shared in their engagement post, Julie and Cisco are friends of mine. I consider every couple my friends, but I’ve known Julie a long time. As I also said before, Cisco is perfect for Julie. He is the yin to her yang. You could see the nervous excitement Julie and Cisco had as they prepared for their wedding day. But as soon as they saw each other as Julie walked in, their faces lit up. They had eyes only for each other. It was a day shared with loved ones. And you could tell their guests were honored to be a part of this beautiful love story. I was honored to be a part of it. Congratulations! Love you <3

Julie and Cisco had a beautifully choreographed first dance. They practiced a lot before the wedding. And it paid off! They were awesome!Last dance of the day. <3

July 7, 2011 - 12:09 pm Dona Maxcy - Mrs. Ruiz - What a wonderful day it appeared to be ! I absolutely love the bouquet's red contrast to your beautiful dress ! And the photographer's skill at capturing the love in both your faces is pretty magical. Congratulations to you both !!!

June 30, 2011 - 8:44 pm Julie P - You did an awesome job! Love the creaminess to the images! A wonderful day!

marry me

Rebecca and Ronnie’s story spans the internet and land. It is a modern love story. They met on Facebook, developed their love on Skype. He is from Trinidad, Tobago. She is from Colorado, USA. As I was editing some of these photos from Ronnie and Rebecca’s wedding, the song, Marry Me by Train came on. It was so appropriate for this love story.

“You wear white and I’ll wear out the words I love you
And you’re beautiful
Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way
Marry me
Today and every day”

Congratulations!

Rebecca and Ronnie opted to to a “first look” for their wedding. A private moment just between them, seeing each other for the first time.
