pierson & family

Seeing the changes in Pierson from the last year is almost as exciting as seeing the things in him that have stayed the same. The sweet looks and his big brown eyes. That smile. He obviously adores their dog Stockley. He is growing up so fast!

off and running, wyatt

We were so worried that we would get rained out for the weekend of mini-session in Richmond, Virginia last month. I visit from my home in Colorado Springs, Colorado every 6 months or so. But the weather cooperated for the whole weekend!

My favorite thing about going back to Richmond for the weekend of photo sessions is seeing how everyone has changed. Wyatt is no exception. I took his 5 month photos a little less than a year ago. He was just learning to sit up then. Now he’s walking! I can’t believe how big he’s gotten. What a complete charmer! And that smile! That’s the only part that hasn’t changed a bit! :)

I couldn’t resist sharing this one. How cute is this expression?

welcome baby

I’ve been taking Hayden and Sophia’s photos for a little while now. When their mom Allyson told me they are expecting their third and wanted pregnancy photos, I was so happy for them. This little family is so excited to add to their happiness with little miss Eleanor (Ellie for short!). I just know how great Hayden and Sophia will be as big brother and big sister. I can’t wait to see them all together soon!

We had some fun with fingerpaint… lol!*love*It was raining as we took the photos inside, so after we were done, we had some fun in the puddles outside!

October 9, 2011 - 4:57 pm Julie P - I just love the painting-on-the-belly ones! I've never seen that before! Cute! ...oh, and love the puddle splash!

celebrating family

After the wedding I photographed in Casper, I had the privilege to stay and photograph my friend’s family on the 4th of July. You’ll probably recognize Tess and her adorable girls. They are stars around here. We did lots of photos and lots of combinations but here are a few of my favs. Family photos are so important – especially with when kids are growing up. There were 6 grandkids in this family and all under 4 years old. It’s good to celebrate family.

The reason this family exists. :)
Tess, her girls with grandma and great-grandma for a 4 generations photo. The youngest sistersI love how his smile is the same as his legs were just constantly kicking back and forth. lol!*love*Sisters

July 24, 2011 - 8:04 pm Tess Brist - Kristi, All of these photos capture each of our personalities to the "T". It brings tears to my eyes! Thank you for spending a full day of taking pictures for our family. It means a lot to me, and I know that they would say the same. Looking forward to seeing the final cut on these pictures. Your Friend, Tess

girls will be girls

I have so much fun taking photos for so many different families. I get to see how each child is different from another. And I love to show those personalities in my photos. Sisters Olivia and Avery are so adorable. Olivia is very outgoing while Avery seems more of an observer before she decides to react. I love it! Mom did great with the clothes and coordinating outfits.  :)

little man in the making

I knew it was going to be an easy session when I saw his grin. Aidan is 5 going on 25. His smile was heartfelt and genuine and makes his face look older and wiser beyond his years. He is a little man in the making. And obviously a.d.o.r.e.d by his dad, mom and grandma. And look out little ladies of the future! His sly grin and thumbs up surely means he will be a ladies man someday. ;)

easter dresses, easter fun

The color coordination of pinks and blacks looked great on this family. The sisters wore pretty Easter dresses. And even though the youngest of the family was a little shy with me, we drew her out with my Easter props. Sometimes it makes the best photos to let children play. So that’s what we did!

3 generations!

they grow up fast

I have been taking Colt’s photos since he was 3 months old. Every time I see him, I am amazed at how quickly he is growing up. He turns 2 soon! wow! Even a few months ago for his fall photos, he would not stand still for anything. Now he stands still for more than a second at a time! lol! They sure do grow up fast.

love his curly hair!

laughter, love & family

It is easy to see their love for each other. The laughter they share. The beautiful family they make!

Riley is very grown up for her age. And such a good big sister!

If Payton could bottle and sell her pretty red hair and freckles, she’s make a fortune. ;)

Jacob’s smile. heart-melting!

boys will be boys

This session and the next 8 are part of a new thing I am offering to my clients. They are mini-Lifestyle Sessions. The basic concept is this: I choose a location for photo sessions, schedule 45 minute blocks of time and then you come to me for that mini-session. In my other Lifestyle sessions, I come to you and a location of your choice including your home.

These mini-Lifestyle sessions were so much fun! Kim, Greg and their boys were my first session of the day. It was a bit chilly but the boys didn’t seem to notice as they played and had fun. We got some great shots! I love Andrew and David’s eyes. So expressive!

I always tell my adults to “smile with their eyes.” I think I’ll print this picture out to show them what I mean. :)

April 2, 2011 - 3:14 am Tina Gilbert - I love the pictures of the boys and my beautiful sister and her husband. Beautifully done.

March 30, 2011 - 8:15 pm Kim - Thank you so much for these! We love them.
