little angel

Ryan is the cutest little angel! That golden hair and little curls. Big blue eyes. He is precious! I know he was a little tired for his session but I think his little face is so adorable anyway. What an angel!

cutie pie, sawyer

Oh. my. When I saw Mr. Sawyer for the first time since his 1 month photos, I couldn’t take my eyes off of this cutie pie! Can you believe the change in his hair? I can’t! Even as cute as he was as a newborn, he’s cuter still today. What that means for the future, watch out mom and dad – you’ve got a heartbreaker on your hands!

October 17, 2011 - 8:47 pm Sharon Morgan - Fantastic photos of a precious lil punkin'!!!

4 weeks new, sawyer jackson

Being from Virginia (a southern state), Sawyer’s name is actually pronounced Saaawyer. Unless you’re me. I’m from Colorado (a western state ;) and I just can’t make my mouth make that lovely sounding name. But no matter how you say his name, Sawyer is the definition of cute. Cute round cheeks. Cute button nose. Cute smile. Cute hair. He will be a perfect southern gentleman one day. I can’t wait to see him grow!

I know, by this point you’re thinking, how are absolutely every single one of his pictures so awesome? Cause he’s cute like that.

scrunchie face, wolf

It’s hard to miss it when he makes that face. It draws you in, it makes you smile. The scrunchie face is the phase Wolf is at as he turns 1 year old. It’s what his parents will remember long after he grows up, along with his pure delight when you sing him the Cupid Shuffle, and his cute day of the week socks. And now they can forever have this phase in his life captured and documented (for future blackmail, I’m sure!). And that’s why I love what I do. Because his scrunchie face makes me smile. :)

Wolf is pretty cute without the scrunchie face, too! ;0)

Spring Virginia Photo Sessions

2010 Portrait Highlights

Here’s a look back at my favorite photos from 2010. I have a whole lot more, but that would take forever to share! If you want to see more, simply click on previous post over and over and over again. ;)

watch you grow

I love to watch your family grow. About 2 years ago I took this family’s son and daughter-in-law’s wedding photos. Now they have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Kendal. She is the apple of her parents, grandparents and aunt’s eyes. She is a sweetie!

grandpa and grandma

auntie and cousin Beamer

I love the expressions on both Kendal’s and Beamer’s face (the dog)!

adorable, wyatt

What a cutie Wyatt is! As you can see, it doesn’t take a lot for him to smile. And that smile is so contagious! Adorable!! I had so much fun taking his pictures and his family’s, too.

I love his pensive look too! Look at those eyebrows!

life amidst the craziness

Life isn’t always picture perfect. Sometimes it’s even better.

I love interaction in photos and try to get some in every session. Sometimes I ask for it, other times I just wait and there it is. This is the life amidst the craziness. And I think this picture says it all.

Life, crazy though it may be, is sweet.

This is my friend Karina’s family. I’ve often joked that she is my own personal cheerleader. Many of you may not realize it but most of my family sessions in Virginia can be traced back to her – starting 4 years ago. I’ve been taking her kids pictures since Nadia, her oldest, was just a baby. And this is what I love. I love to come back month after month, year after year and watch your family grow.

Nadia.

Camille.

Nora.

baby smiles, pierson

There is nothing in the world like a baby’s smile. It warms the heart, and no one I know can resist smiling back. I know I can’t! Even if it is usually from behind my lens. lol! Pierson was no exception. He smiled as he took some wobbly steps. Smiled as he clapped, smiled just to smile! I also love his pensive, thoughtful look, which I discovered often came before the smile. See if you can resist this smile. I dare you.
