whimsical love, Brianna & Mati | Casper Wedding Photographer

When Mati’s mother gave her toast to the bride and groom, she said the word that comes to mind when she thinks of Brianna and Mati together is whimsical. Whimsical: apricious humor or disposition; extravagant, fanciful, or excessively playful. I couldn’t have described them better myself. Their wedding day was full of laughter, friends and fun. Their relationship is playful, sweet and full of love. Although they live in another state, Brianna and Mati held their wedding in Casper, Wyoming, Brianna’s home town. Friends and family came from far and near. They couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect day (minus the 10 minute rain cloud!). Congratulations, Brianna and Mati! Happy trails.

Brianna and Mati decided to have their wedding photos prior to the ceremony. It’s called a first look, just a private moment between the bride and groom.
Reception at Three Crowns Golf Club.I loved this! Instead of a traditional cake, they had all their favorite cakes and pies.

2010 Wedding Highlights

I love romance. I love that I get to take photos of people in love on the most important day in their lives. I love, LOVE. The year 2010 was a great one for weddings – I took photos all over Virginia and then Cozumel, Mexico and finally, Colorado. I am blessed and fortunate to get to do what I love. Thank you to all my fabulous clients, thank you.

Happily Ever After in Cozumel, Mexico: Julie & Toby

I was beyond excited when Julie and Toby announced their engagement and then just about to burst when they decided to have a destination wedding and chose me to accompany them as their photographer! We had such an awesome engagement session, I knew their wedding photos would be fabulous and gorgeous, just like them. Julie had everything planned so well for the wedding taking place in another country. Everything came together beautifully. And I had a wonderful time! Thanks for inviting me to be part of it.

The wedding was held at the gorgeous Occidental Grand.

Julie added peacock feather to accessorize her shoes!

Just married!

You’ll recognize these cuties! Their family photo session is below.

Congratulations, Julie & Toby!

Cozumel, Mexico Family Fun in the Sun

I’ve been doing their photos for years…but never quite like this. It’s not everyday you get to have family portraits taken on the beach in Cozumel, Mexico! I was down in Cozumel for Karina’s sister’s wedding, and we just had to take this once in a lifetime opportunity to have pictures on the beach.

We took a few before the rehearsal and later the next morning. These are photos of the girls in their flower girl outfits.

Baby Nora!

I love the next two photos for all of their hair!!

Gorgeous Cozumel!

I Do: Stacy + Matthew

Stacy + Matthew’s wedding was my second in Myrtle Beach in just a few weeks. I still can’t get over how beautiful it is and what a perfect location for a wedding!  Stacy + Matthew met in Myrtle Beach but live in Maine and have a cute little boy who you’ll see in the photos below. They are a perfect little family and it was a great day to celebrate their union. I was glad to be a part of it!

Thanks to Stacy’s maid of honor for letting me use her wine glass for this fab shot of the rings!

Wedding 2

I love photos that make me smile.

Wedding 3

I like this photo because it’s cute, but also because it’s 3 generations.

So, I couldn’t decide between the next two shots so I picked them both. Stacy + Matthew’s wedding party was great at the jumping. Look at their expressions! To die for funny!

Oh, and Kudos to them for figuring out how to make it look great without jumping.

I Do: Jeanne + Bradley

This destination wedding was a meeting place of two lives and two parts of the world. Although it was home to Jeanne + Bradley, Myrtle Beach, SC was a destination wedding for myself and for their guests. Bradley’s family came all the way from South Africa to be a part of their day. And what a special day it was. So elegant and beautiful. One they will always remember.

I’ve seen this done before, but never this way. Both bride and groom pour sand in to represent their lives combining. The sand Jeanne used was from Myrtle Beach and the sand Bradley used his mom brought from South Africa.
