During Sky’s senior shoot, I realized I’d forgotten a few things about Colorado.
1. Mosquitoes will eat you no matter how much bug spray you use.
And 2. Colorado is majestic. breathtaking. without words.
Thanks for helping me to remember, Sky! You totally commanded this shoot like a pro.

I call these two – I have a secret. And I’m not telling.

Michael rocked his senior session. And I mean rocked. it. See for yourself. If these photos could talk, they’d have stories to tell…

Michael’s Senior Photo Slideshow

I love baby photos! For those of you who know them, this is Justin and Jesika’s baby girl!
Aeris was only 11 days old when we did this session. Brand new! Look at that soft baby skin, you can almost smell the freshness. So cute! No other words are necessary – just photos.

I love these headbands by The Girlie Girl Bowtique!

This session was my last in Virginia but I have waited to post it until baby Kendal arrived. Which she did – Monday!
Her name was a secret until she got here. And since we used her name in the photos, I just waited. Now everyone knows her name. So here you go. :)

One of their cats decided to join us for a few photos. I have to share this one – it makes me laugh every time I see it. lol!

Congratulations, Bret and Kristy!

This summer my family went to go visit my nephew in Iowa. It was so good to see him! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen him so I just had to take photos to show how much he’s grown! He’s almost as tall as me. Which isn’t saying much since I’m short. lol!
As a typical boy, he loves to play around. Making faces for the camera…

Playing sports…

He looks so much like my brother (his dad) it’s amazing.

Love the moodiness here. :)

Colorado provides an opportunity for amazing landscape photos, beautiful backdrops for portraits and an overall sense of well being just living here. I am so happy to be back home (this is where I grew up!).
This cute family are long time friends of ours who wanted photos in their camping spot in the mountains. How could I say no? :) It also was the first time since we’ve been back that I got to see the mountain landscape, breathe the free mountain air. It was great! The cherry on the top – gorgeous, timeless family photos.

I just love both of these pictures, even though they are very similar. I love them for their differences.

See their slideshow here.

This cute family is the product of the two beautiful people above, Sudhir and Andreana. This August they celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary. In those 13 years, they’ve seen a lot, done a lot – but I think their greatest accomplishment is their 5 adorable children. They are so well behaved and did everything I asked of them! This summer they added another to the pack – a white haired Golden Retriever.
Congratulations, Andreana and Sudhir! What more could you ask for?

*LOVE* this photo.

I know I used the same music, but I really like that song!

One of the best things about living back in Colorado is that we get to be close to family. And I get to do photos for them! My cousin requested a family portrait session when we got back. We decided to be very casual and just have fun with it! So we headed to Manitou Springs with the only plan being stop at an ice cream shop for cones at the end. It was a great non-plan that ended up with some very cute photos!

It’s hard for me to take photos when kids are laughing. I always laugh with them! lol!

Every girl should have at least one picture of herself this way – so gorgeous, Lela!

I love how children delight in the little things. Like ice cream. ;0)
I’ll end with my favorite of the day – such concentration each boy has eating their ice cream cone!

Megan and Brian’s wedding was my last in Virginia before moving to Colorado. And what a wonderful day it was! Megan and Brian put so much into every detail of their day that I had to include as many photos of those details as possible. It was just gorgeous! And if you can believe it, Megan and Brian got married on their 8th anniversary! So in love…
They held their wedding at the timeless Jasmine Plantation.
